Hari is a visionary leader who serves as our managing director. He co-founded Aliens Group in 2004 with the aim to revolutionize the real estate sector in Hyderabad through highly innovative and customer centric projects. This vision stemmed from a keen understanding of consumer behaviour and industry trends. Hari realized that there was widespread discontent with the similar and ordinary residential projects. He saw that these projects did not offer good facilities or a convenient life. Builders did not have an incentive to innovate because the demand was high and customer awareness low. So they did not think beyond offering average products. Customers seemed to be buying them for want of alternatives.
Hari was a qualified pilot who had trained in the US, so he was aware of the sophisticated real estate projects being executed internationally. This inspired him to bring such products to the real estate industry in India, which led to the establishment of the Aliens Group with the motto ‘intelligent living’. The name ‘Aliens’ signified the fact that the approach to real estate development with innovative designs and cutting edge home automation technologies was unheard of in the industry at the time and seemed out of this world.
Hari is also inspired by two legends of management : Steve Jobs and Jack Welch. Taking a cue from Jobs’ approach to design thinking, Hari strives to ensure that all Aliens Group’s products not only look good, but also work in ways that delight the customer. He also applies Steve’s idea of people management that focuses on hiring ‘A-players’ who are motivated, engaged, creative, and performance-driven, and giving them the autonomy to unleash their potential and attract more A-players to build a great organization. From Welch he borrowed the idea of identifying and rewarding differentiated performance to build a high-performing and motivated organization. These approaches have led to Aliens Group becoming an innovative, customer centric, meritocratic and highly competent organization, that is superbly poised to scale up and grow by leaps and bounds to ensure the prosperity of all stakeholders.
In his personal life, Hari is a fitness, sports and travel enthusiast, and was also a nationally ranked tennis player in his younger days. He also keeps abreast of the latest developments in management by reading extensively.
